Sovello GmbH | Sovello Solar

The headquarters of the German photovoltaic company Sovello AG is located in Thalheim near Bitterfeld-Wolfen. Thus, Sovello AG is located in the so-called Solar Valley, a region of Germany that has become one of the most important areas of the photovoltaic industry worldwide. In addition to Sovello AG, other companies in the sector, such as Solibro or Q-Cells, have settled in this area.
All modules of Sovello can be bought from us, we also supply replacement modules from Sovello.

In 2005, the company was founded, but at the time under the name EverQ GmbH firmierte. EverQ GmbH was formed as the joint venture of three other photovoltaic companies, namely Evergreen Solar, Q-Cells AG and Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (REC). Three years later, the company was converted and simultaneously renamed Sovello AG. Sovello AG has since been taken over by another investor and now has three production sites in Bitterfeld-Wolfen.

Although Sovello AG was originally founded as an amalgamation of the companies involved at the time to jointly examine the feasibility of a newly developed process for the production of solar wafers, today there are no financial links between the former partners and Sovello AG. Meanwhile, Sovello AG acts as an independent company.

Although there are still various agreements with regard to cooperation in individual areas, Sovello AG can still assert itself in many ways, including in terms of production technology. Sovello AG today produces the solar wafers and solar cells necessary for the production of photovoltaic modules. Sovello AG uses a process called String Ribbon. The Sovello AG systems produced in this way are easy to install and are also characterized by their good adaptability to local conditions.

In general, Sovello AG divides the manufactured solar modules into two categories, namely those for small plants and those for large plants. In this case, photovoltaic modules developed for small systems are specially optimized for those inverters that are used in small installations. In practice, this means that the Sovello AG modules are designed for this application in such a way that they allow the greatest possible flexibility with regard to the selection of the inverter finally used. This leads to an increase in performance of the entire system. A good performance of the modules of Sovello AG in low solar radiation as well as the use of antireflection-coated solar glass additionally contribute to an optimization of the performance.

The solar modules of Sovello AG, optimized for large-scale plants, also have optimized shading behavior. In practice, this means that when planning photovoltaic systems smaller distances between the individual rows of solar modules can be planned, which has a positive effect on the efficiency of the entire system.
