Sanyo / Panasonic

Panasonic's new HIT line models are completely free of lead and emissions,
In addition, you are characterized by minimal performance tolerances.

Panasonic Module

Thanks to the built-in hybrid structure, a combination of very narrow amorphous silicon layers and first-class quality in the monocrystalline wafers, the losses during the generation of energy are very minimal. The new HIT technology is approved up to a system voltage of 1000 volts and thus generates an intensive functional safety.

Also, the new technology is certified. On the one hand with the quality certificate according to ISO 9001, further with the environmental certificate according to ISO 14001 and also with the health and safety certificate according to ISO 18001. The products are also certified by TÜV, IEC 61215, IEC 61730, Protection class II and CE. In quality tests, Panasonic products generally perform well above industry standards.

Panasonic Module

Hetero junctions with Intrinsic Thin Layer – this is Panasonic's breakthrough technology solution for higher performance from solar panels. It is known as "HIT Technology" in short. "Heterojunction" means the crossing of two components, namely monocrystalline wafers for high-performance production and an amorphous silicon layer for the reduction of surface losses. "Intrinsic Thin Layer" describes the underlying Wafer that is completely surrounded by the ultra-thin non-crystalline coating.

The result is the merger of the advantages of both types of cells, whereby the already high efficiency of the monocrystalline structure is further improved.

HIT-Technology is one of the solutions with which Panasonic determines the development in the high-performance area of solar power generation.

Sanyo / Panasonic

Panasonic Corporation has been one of the world's largest and most successful electronics companies for decades. Panasonic currently has more than 630 companies and just under 367,000 employees, generating net sales of 79 billion euros.

More than 15,000 products for consumer electronics, office and telecommunications, heating and air conditioning systems, security systems, household appliances, vehicle electronics, robotics, mechanical engineering, lighting and building technology, medical technology, health products and solar systems determine the activities of the 16 subsidiaries. Panasonic is the world market leader in many sectors. The name of the company (Greek: "all sound") was created in 1955, when Panasonic introduced its hi-fi products internationally.

Due to the concentrated electronics competence, the entry into the solar industry was a logical step. The company's own structure and the takeover of the "Sanyo" brand also make Panasonic Solar a solar global player at a stroke.

Commitment to the environment fits in perfectly with the Panasonic Vision 2018 and the responsibility for doing business in harmony with nature and green innovation in the electronics industry - on the occasion of Panasonic's 100th birthday.

Around four billion euros are invested annually in research and development at Panasonic. This also benefits solar research, which has been downsized by 30 years of experience.

In 1975, Sanyo began developing solar cells made of amorphous silicon and in 1980 marketed the products as the first manufacturer worldwide. The principle of intensive testing is also retained for the systems: after two years of testing photovoltaic systems that produce electricity on homes in Japan and feed it into the public grid, the market launch for private users took place in 1994.

Since 1997, the revolutionary HIT technology (heterojunction with intrinsic thin-layer) is in mass production. It is characterized by high efficiency and has always kept Panasonic at the forefront of development. When the 170 W module was introduced, the cell efficiency was 16.4%, one year later, in 1998, already 17.3%.

In 2002, the 190 W module achieved a cell efficiency of 18.5%; The 200 W module, launched one year later, was the world's leading solar power module. Meanwhile, cell efficiencies of more than 20% are achieved and the world's best module efficiency (18.6%) came on the market in 2010 with the 235 W module.

Sanyo also demonstrated its expertise with the world's largest solar power plant in Gifu, Japan, and its power to exceed the 100 million mark in solar cell production.

Another spectacular example is the victory of the Solar Car Team of Tokai University at the Solar World Championships in October 2011 in Australia. Among the solar-powered vehicles, the Panasonic HIT technology was the winner, with the solar cell's highest energy conversion rate.

Since 1.4.2012, the SANYO products are sold under the brand name Panasonic. As in all other areas, the company will invest so heavily in the solar sector that it will maintain its leading global market position. This includes a new plant in Malaysia, which will be producing in 2012 with an annual capacity of 300 MW.

For customers and business partners in Europe, the 21 locations offer the best service and high-quality solar modules. Add to this the recognized noble design of the Panasonic Solar Modules. New are the new modules with black backsheet, which were launched in 2012 on the European market. Panasonic solar modules are perfect in every area.
