Sharp Solar Thin film modules

Sharp NA thin-film modules are designed for high-power applications. The thin-film modules build on the silicon crystal solar cell technology, which has been well-maintained for 40 years, and are characterized by their outstanding durability even under harsh operating conditions and are suitable for grid-connected systems.

Sharp Solar Mono- and Multicrystalline Modules

Whether in the self-sufficient supply or for grid feed-in: the modules are the load-bearing parts of the photovoltaic system. Basically, a distinction is made between two cell sizes: (126 mm) ² and (156.5 mm) ², and in two cell types: monocrystalline and multi- / polycrystalline. Sharp's PV modules can be used for both grid-connected and island PV systems. The performance guarantee is up to 20 years

Sharp Solar

The company history of Sharp Solar goes back far into the past. In 1912, the company Sharp was founded, which rapidly developed into an internationally operating company. With regard to the overall development of photovoltaics, Sharp Solar can be described as a pioneering company. In 1959, Sharp Solar began developing solar cells, mass-produced by the company in 1963.

Currently, most of the photovoltaic products are produced in Japan. The steady and international expansion of Sharp Solar was followed in 2004 by the start of production of photovoltaic modules in Europe as well as in the USA. Today, the modules developed and produced by Sharp Solar are used in many areas, such as private, commercial or industrial environments. Even in unusual environments, from lighthouses to satellites, the modules of Sharp Solar find their applications.

Today Sharp Solar mainly produces monocrystalline and polycrystalline solar modules, thin-film modules and the complete system Sharp PV-Kit. The monocrystalline modules generally consist of solar cells, which consist of a silicon crystal. They are recognizable by their black color and are developed for applications which place particularly high demands on the module. All of Sharp Solar's monocrystalline photovoltaic modules are also suitable for use with grid-connected systems. Polycrystalline modules are made up of those solar cells, which consist of many silicon crystals. They are recognizable by their blue color and are ideal for those cases where highly durable and durable modules are needed. They can also be used in grid-connected systems.

The thin-film modules from Sharp Solar have a slightly lower efficiency. However, they are mainly optimized for grid-connected roof systems. This is reflected in particular in the design of the thin-film modules, which aims at a long life and the fastest possible and easy installation of the solar modules. In addition, Sharp Solar uses a tandem structure composed of a multicrystalline and an amorphous silicon layer in this type of module.

The Sharp PV kit from Sharp Solar is a complete photovoltaic system that can be used in single-family homes and multi-family dwellings. Sharp Solar offers here in addition to the rooftop mounting of the system also an integrable variant. In addition, the system can also be further optimized in terms of its performance. Depending on the orientation of the roof, Sharp Solar offers various photovoltaic modules for the system. If the roof is oriented to the south, monocrystalline solar modules ensure a particularly high level of system efficiency. If the roof is facing east or west, Sharp Solar recommends the installation of thin-film modules. With this complete system, the individual solar modules can be installed without the use of a tool. The possibility of an extension at a later date was also taken into account in this case.
